Key Biscayne Youth Basketball is a program of the Key Biscayne Community Center. During the season, the program involves more than 200 kids along with their parents, coaches, referees, and scorekeepers in learning and playing the game of basketball. For the past several years, the program has been coordinated by Jennifer Pema and JPHoops. Thousands of kids have been able to learn the sport of basketball, develop their skills and teamwork, and engage in spirited, evenly-matched competition.
The JP Hoops team is and has been a collection of passionate and experienced coaches with basketball experience at the high school, college, and even professional level. One former JP Hoops coach is even a Harlem Globetrotter today.
The KBYB program utilizes the Key Biscayne Community Center indoor courts for practices and games as well as the outdoor courts at the Key Biscayne Community School for practices.
